MALAWI PRESIDENT FIRES THE CHIEF OF POLICE

By Qeko
Confirmed reports from ground zero in Malawi indicate that three days into the High Office of the land, the new Malawi’s President, Her Excellency Joyce Banda has fired the Inspector General of Police-Mr. Mukhito who was appointed and served the late Bingu wa Muthalika's regime as Malawi police Chief. The former Chief of Police has been hugely blaimed for the mishandling of the 20 July demonstration in Malawi which saw the death of 20 citizens.

In exercising her power invested on her as the State President of the Republic, Her Excellency has instead appointed Mr. Loti Dzonzi as the new Chief of Police. Before their appointments, Loti Zonzi was a Police Commissioner at the Police Headquarters in the Malawi’s capital responsible of Administration. Many Malawians have recommended the President for appointing Commissioner Dzonzi into the hot seat of the nation's policing. commissioner Dzonzi is a University of Malawi graduate  who served the Police with dedication and he is a born again christians and also a preacher of the gospel.
However Malawi political drama continues as many grid MPs defects to the new ruling Peoples’ party of President Joyce Banda. Many political analysts and commentators are shocked at what these MPs are doing at the moment that they abandon the DPP ship even before the body of their leader is flown back to Malawi. Some have called this political madness of the highest order since the MPs have demonstrated that they do not have a sense of political direction while other have expressed worry that these MPs have a mission to join PP with an agenda to disturberise the new government of the PP just as they have done with the DPP.
